AHOSKIE – The Corporate Office at Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center (RCCHC) announced today that Ahoskie Comprehensive Care will open on Saturdays beginning Saturday, February 7.

Primary and pediatric care will be available from 8:00am-12:00noon, and the pharmacy will operate from 8:30am-12:30pm.

The community health center, since its inception ten years ago, has committed to providing quality health care for the Roanoke-Chowan area and making it available when people can be available. RCCHC already offers extended hours early in the morning and most evening week days. Opening on Saturdays will further that commitment to making the health of families in the Roanoke-Chowan area the top priority for RCCHC.

“Being available for our patients on Saturday mornings will further our commitment to be open when our patients need us, whether it is to see their pediatrician or to get their annual physical when they don’t have to take a day off of work,” said Kim Schwartz, CEO of RCCHC. “The combination of scheduled appointments and walk-in/work in appointments will be just like it is during the week. Most lab work can be done and the pharmacy is also open as well.”

Saturday appointments can be made by calling Ahoskie Comprehensive Care, but as noted, walk-ins are welcome during all hours on Saturdays and throughout the week at RCCHC.

Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center (RCCHC), an FQHC since May, 2005, provides comprehensive primary care and pediatric services with locations in Ahoskie and Murfreesboro (Hertford County) and Colerain (Bertie County) North Carolina.
