AHOSKIE, NC – February 13, 2025 – Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center (RCCHC) is proud to announce that it has earned The Joint Commission’s prestigious Gold Seal of Approval® for Ambulatory Health Care and Laboratory Accreditation. This designation reflects RCCHC’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care.
The Gold Seal of Approval® is a globally recognized symbol of excellence, awarded to healthcare organizations that demonstrate exceptional performance in patient safety, clinical processes, and quality improvement.
From December 3–6, 2024, The Joint Commission’s expert surveyors conducted a rigorous on-site evaluation of RCCHC, assessing compliance with evidence-based standards in key areas, including:
- Infection prevention and control
- Sterilization and environmental safety
- Medication management
- Patient rights and responsibilities
- Laboratory and point-of-care testing
Surveyors conducted thorough observations, staff interviews, and a comprehensive review of policies and procedures to ensure RCCHC continues to uphold the highest standards in healthcare delivery.
